Statement of Non-Discrimination
As required by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (as amended) the City Park Improvement Association has adopted by resolution a policy regarding nondiscrimination on the basis of disability.
The City Park Improvement Association does hereby notify participants, beneficiaries, applicants, employees, or unions or organizations with whom they have collective bargaining agreements or other interested agencies, groups, and persons that it does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, religion, nationality, age, or handicapped status in the admission to, or access to, or operation of programs, services, or activities in violation of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, and its implementing HUD regulations (24CFR Part 8 dated June 2, 1988).
George Parker, Chief Administrative Officer has been designated to coordinate compliance with the nondiscrimination requirements. Qualified individuals who need accessible communication aids and services or other accommodations to participate in programs and activities are invited to make their needs and preferences known to the 504 coordinator. Please give us three to five days advance notice so we can adequately meet your needs.
An internal grievance procedure is available to resolve complaints. In addition, the City Park Improvement Association is hereby giving notification to the public of its participation in the State of Louisiana's telephone "relay service" for the hearing impaired.
