Boating

There are few more enjoyable ways to enjoy a great urban park like New Orleans City Park than lazily floating along, keeping company with ducks, geese and swans for a half-hour of pedaling. The boats are available on a first come first serve basis. Pedal boats seat 4; Row boats seat 3. No reservations are taken.

One passenger on each boat must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Life preservers must be worn at all times. The pedal boat dock is located at Big Lake off Friedrichs Avenue.

Joy Ride Bike Rentals, a locally owned company, is joining forces with City Park to bring guests the option of bicycling throughout the park. Bikes are available for rental during the same operating hours as our Pedalboats and Rowboats, with bikes availalble for children or adults, and baby trailers are also availalbe for those too small to ride on their own.
