Can You Canoe?
Paddle Back Over to City Park!
Canoes have returned to City Park! After an absence of seven years, canoes are now available for rent behind the park’s Old Casino building.
Canoes are rented Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at a charge of $5 per person per hour. Each canoe can accommodate two people. One person on each canoe must be at least 21 years of age and life preservers must be worn at all times. A limited number of canoes are available and are rented on a first come, first serve basis. No reservations are taken.
Pedal Boating
There are few more enjoyable ways to enjoy a great urban park like New Orleans City Park than lazily pedaling along miles of lagoons keeping company with ducks, geese and swans. Pedal boats seat four and rent for $5 per person for an hour of pedaling. One passenger on each boat must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Life preservers must be worn at all times. The pedal boat dock is located behind the Casino Building and hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. from the first Saturday in March through the last weekend in October. Tickets are purchased in the Casino Building gift shop.
