The majority of Glinda’s recent work concentrates on the
beauty of the Louisiana marshlands. She has donated a beautiful framed art print for silent auction. Monies from the sale of her posters at the New Orleans boat show are donated to support the Big Bass Fishing Rodeo.
Bill Dazet-wooden fish sculptures
Bill has been creating fish sculptures in wood for many
years. His work has been showcased on TV, in national sports fishing magazines and just recently in the New Orleans boat show. He has donated a beautiful carving for silent auction as well as some framed digital artwork.

Mr. Bowen has something special for the nautical and fishing enthusiast but also carries fleur de lis, new canal light house and other New Orleans-related jewelry. A visit to his booth is a must for everyone.

Casting Contest
A chance for kids ages 6-12 to come out and try their casting skills and win prizes. Bring your own rod and reel or one will be provided. This area sponsored by WISH TO FISH LOUISIANA.
Cast Net Throwing Demonstration
Mr. Clarence Luquet with La. Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries & Wish to Fish La. will show you how to toss a cast net and catch your own bait. Both demonstration and hands on event. Don’t miss your chance!

Ever wanted to learn to fly fish? Learn the art of fly fishing from David Hesse who will show you how it’s done. We’ll have a few extra fly rods for you young anglers to test your ability.

wildlife education. Cheryl is a wildlife educator and does a number of

If you are new at boating, or if you are an experienced boater, please
feel free to come on over and pick up new information. Bring the kids
over to meet Commander Joe and his little boat “Coastie” that can shoot water, has a siren and talks!

The fundamental purpose of the Louisiana Outdoors Outreach Program (LOOP) is to provide a unique hands-on approach to educational and recreational outdoor programs, activities, and services to underserved and at-risk youth. Through a comprehensive organizational model, the goal is to enhance self-esteem, encourage mental and physical improvement, and develop the many characteristics associated with civic mindedness. Meet Dan Forman, Assistant Director and his “junior rangers” who are assisting with the rodeo and fishtival.

Bring a chair and listen to music from the Bandstand provided by Ron Folse, "Computerized DJ" playing your favorite tunes. Music begins at 9:00 a.m.
Food & Drinks
City Park Catering will have food available for all you anglers and Fishtival-goers. Soft drinks and beer will also be sold to quench the thirst after a hard morning of fishing.
